LSMSA Library Information: Students

Where in Watson Library Can I Study?

 
First Floor
Academic Success Center  Tables in the middle of the room offer space to spread out. Bring your own computer.
 
Second Floor
Stacks Tables in the middle of the stacks to accommodate those who like a little more room to study.  Three group-study rooms are also available in the stacks. Individual cubicles line the walls, interspersed with upholstered furniture for a bit more comfort.
 
Thomas-D'Amato Reference Room has a few tables, comfortable chairs, and some individual cubicles for quiet work 


 

Third Floor
Serials/Media Quiet, but closed evenings and weekends.

Making Copies

Use a scanner to scan pages of a paper item and save them as an electronic file.  Bring a USB drive or a smartphone.

Checking Out

  • Use your LSMSA student ID to check out books.

  • The checkout period for books is 21 days for students.

  • Materials may be renewed once online.  After that, bring the items to the Circulation Desk before the next due date.

  • Fines are $1 per book, per day.

Remote Access to Databases

Use your student ID as your log-in and your birthdate for a password (e.g. March 15, 1991 = 031591).
 

The NSU wireless network does not offer access to LSMSA students.
