Tutoring: This service is always FREE!

Ms. Walker, CNS, RN  - Professional Tutor

 

Ms. Sharon Walker, CNS, RN is offering tutoring for nursing students. Prior experience includes: 1st level Fundamentals/Health Assessment (BSN); 2nd level Med Surg (BSN/ASN); Pharm (BSN); 4th level Complex Care (BSN); 5th level NURB 4950 (BSN).

The purpose of the tutoring is to explain/discuss/review disease processes; physiology of organ systems; health care concepts ie., oxygenation, circulation, perfusion etc.; test taking strategies ONLY; test taking preparation.   Exams and exam questions will not be discussed.

Day Time Notes:
Sunday 5pm-9pm 1-2 hrs/student
Tuesday 5pm-8pm 1-2hrs/student
Wednesday 4pm-7pm 1-2hrs/student

  • Email walkers@nsula.edu to make an appointment – please include your name, cell phone number and a short explanation of what information you need clarified.
  • Appointments will be held in Ms. Walker’s WebEx Room: : https://nsula.webex.com/meet/walkers.  The access code is: 967 640 108.
  • You will receive a confirmation email of the appointment.
  • Please note if you need a date/time outside of the above, you may email Ms. Walker to request a possible alternate time.

  • Ms. Jewel Coleman tutors students by WebEx or in person in the Shreveport Library.  She covers general studies areas including fine arts.  Please fill in the tutoring request form on the Nursing and Allied Health web site.  Your request will be sent to Ms. Coleman and she will confirm a time with you.
