Nursing and Allied Health: Radiology Books and e-Books

Learn more about how to use library resources to search for clinical information.

Downloading e-Books to your flash drive:

  • You can transfer chapters within the e-Book to your IPAD, tablet, laptop or desktop.
  • You may also print chapters in the computer lab chapters that you have saved to your FLASH DRIVE. See how much space is required by looking at your flash drive directory.
  • If there is a call number noted in a record, it generally means the book can be found on the library shelf.  Most of the books below are in the Shreveport Library within the College of Nursing & Allied Health.
  • You may download  chapters of an e-book in PDF Format. You may also download up to 100 pages (a section of a book) to be used off line. Online books are generally within one of the online databases or they may be published by a government agencyl.  Contact your campus librarian or reference librarian for assistance.
What is a reference book?

A reference book is intended to be consulted for information on specific matters rather than read from beginning to end. Examples of reference books are Davis Drug Guide, an Anatomy Atlas or a medical encyclopedia.

  • An online reference book or e-book can be used 24 X 7 from your tablet, flash drive, mobile phone, laptop or computer -- via the internet by signing into EBSCO e-Books with your MyNSU ID and password.
  • A physical reference book is housed in the reference section of the library.  It is to be used while you are working and / or studying in the library for quick look-ups and cannot be checked out
