What is a reference book?
A reference book is intended to be consulted for information on specific matters rather than read from beginning to end. Examples of reference books are Davis Drug Guide, an Anatomy Atlas or a medical encyclopedia.
An online reference book or e-book can be used 24 X 7 from your tablet, flash drive, mobile phone, laptop or computer -- via the internet by signing into EBSCO e-Books with your MyNSU ID and password.
- A physical reference book is housed in the reference section of the library. It is to be used while you are working and / or studying in the library for quick look-ups and cannot be checked out
